My role at UCSD |
|
As the
Marketing Specialist for the UCSD Career Services Center, I
promote the wonderful programs, valuable resources, and
exciting events we have available to our undergraduate,
graduate, and alumni communities. |
|
My career path |
|
My career
in public relations and marketing has taken me every which
way. While I was an undergraduate at UCSD, I worked for a
private communication firm as an intern. After graduation,
I found a job as a marketing coordinator for a construction
company. From there, I became the PR manager for a 3D
animation company, and was able to start my own freelance
graphic design business. Soon after, I found myself
immersed in the amazing world of film and video, and began
shooting short films. All of these unique experiences
helped me to discover my passion for digital media in all of
its forms, and led me to my current position at the UCSD
Career Services Center. |

The rewards in doing what I do |
|
My inner
geek gets to play every day! I love visual communication,
and enjoy finding new and impactful ways of sharing
information with students through print the web, and video. |
|
My words of wisdom to students |
|
Don’t let
the fear of failure hold you back from your dreams and
aspirations. Failure is only success in disguise – a second
chance to assess what we can do better when the next
opportunity presents itself. |
|
When I'm not on campus... |
|
I’m looking
for innovative ways to film the stories that are constantly
running through my head; having a laugh with great friends
and family; filling my belly with foods from exotic places;
and being an all-around klutz and nerd. |
