My role at UCSD
As a Graduate Intern, I work with students on a variety of career-related topics, such as career advising and exploration, reviewing resumes and cover letters, career workshops, providing career resources, demonstrating different strategies on finding jobs and internships, and effective interviewing techniques.
My career path

I am currently a graduate student as the University of San Diego working toward my M.A. in Counseling.  Prior to graduate school I worked for headhunters in New York City and decided that attending graduate school was the next step I needed to take in order to pursue a career in counseling.  After a long and thoughtful process I decided that I wanted to launch my career in the direction of helping people with their career decision-making, transitional, and developmental concerns.

The rewards in doing what I do

It brings me great satisfaction knowing that I helped a student identify their career values, abilities and talents, interests, and passions, and that a career is selected based on that self-identifying information.

My words of wisdom to students

During the process of selecting a major or career, assess what brings you the most satisfaction and excites you.  Another approach is to think about how you can combine your natural talents, passions, and values to create your own career.

When I'm not on campus...

You can find me sunbathing at my favorite coffee shops, riding my bike, discovering new restaurants in San Diego, or simply hanging out with friends.
