We offer a variety of programs and resources to assist UC San Diego students and alumni with their career goals including career advising, on-line job listings and resource tools, workshops, job fairs, and special events. Find out about our services below.

Job Opportunities
We offer listings of part-time and full-time positions on-campus, through work-study and in the community. In addition, internships and summer opportunities are available. Various companies attend on-campus job fairs and conduct job and internship interviews on campus each quarter. Visit our Employment Services on the 2nd floor for information on our services including our reference file service.

Career Development
Receive assistance in exploring career goals and job search preparation including resume writing, interviewing and job search strategies. Ask about our career exploration panels and networking opportunities. Meet with career advisors, practice interviewing on camera and use specialized self-assessment software programs to explore career options.

Professional & Graduate School Opportunities
To help you explore various graduate and professional school options, CSC offers special orientations, fairs, individual advising, and an extensive library of directories, catalogs, handouts and videos. Learn about admissions tests, fellowships, writing personal statements and preparing for interviews. A reference file can be set up to allow us to distribute your letters of recommendation to graduate schools.

Career and Internship Library
Find information on various occupations, employers and graduate programs through directories, catalogs, books, brochures and annual reports in our Career and Internship Library. Use computers to access our homepage, research employment and graduate school opportunities and use specialized software programs to determine what careers match your interests.

Outreach to the Campus Community
Our staff delivers a variety of special programs to diverse audiences each year, including the fulfillment of outreach requests from departments, units, and divisions across campus.  View this past years' outreach beneficiaries.


How we can help

  • Deliver outreach workshops/presentations at your departmental, college or area programs on a wide range of career and graduate school preparation topics. Click here to make an outreach request or learn more about topics available.
  • Present in a class. We’d be delighted to come (at a faculty member’s request) to a class or senior seminar and speak with students about career issues related to their studies or offer targeted programs on career options for their major/discipline. Contact Roxanne Farkas for details.
  • Provide meeting space. If your department or program is looking for a well-appointment meeting space, we have two rooms available. Our Horizon Room (seats up to 80 lecture style) and Round Conference Room (seats up to 25 conference style) which are both equipped with up-to-date media equipment. Additionally, a member of our staff can do a brief presentation at the beginning of your meeting describing our services and how we can work collaboratively.
