- About Me
My role at UC San Diego
I am the technology resource analyst for the Career Services Center where I support staff's technical needs and manage web content. Some of my favorite projects include enhancing the Career Services Center's website and being the system's administrator for Port Triton.
My career path
I spent nearly 11 years as a help desk technician for the County of San Diego Immunization Program. Along with desktop support, I was given the opportunity to develop marketing materials, update the Program's website, and create online tools that would enhance program operations. With these tasks, I was able to explore and find my new passion-graphics, web, and multimedia. I also have many technical certifications and am completing my degree in Information Technology
The rewards in doing what I do
It is rewarding to know that I am a part of a team that is influential in the lives and careers of thousands of students. To have a Career Center devoted to students speaks volumes to UC San Diego's commitment to students. When I initially started school, I had no idea in what direction I was heading and I wish I had the same support and direction students are offered here at UC San Diego.
My words of wisdom to students
I read once, "It is not who you are that holds you back, it is who you think you are not" (unknown author). Be confident in yourself and good things will come your way.
In my free time...
In my free time I enjoy playing paintball, softball, mountain biking, camping, and traveling with my wife and three daughters. I also enjoy photography and listening to Latin jazz.
