My role at UCSD |
|
I am one of
the friendly faces you see when you enter the Professional
Graduate School Opportunities Program area. I help answer
students’ questions when they first come into our office, as
well as oversee the Reference File Service for students
applying to professional and graduate schools. I also assist
with planning the annual graduate school fairs. |
|
My career path |
|
When I
majored in Psychology and Social Behavior at UC Irvine, my
heart was set on a fundraising position for a nonprofit
organization. I reached that goal soon after graduating in
2006 and learned about non-profits and fundraising through
planning several major special events. I realized that I
missed the university atmosphere and contact with the
student community that I experienced in college. I decided
to pursue a career that would give me the opportunity to
directly help students and contribute to campus life. |

The rewards in doing what I do |
|
Helping
people get a step closer to achieving their goals and
dreams. |
|
My words of wisdom to students |
|
You have
the ability to contribute to your work environment, whether
you are a student or a professional. Being successful is not
only meeting tangible goals and receiving a paycheck, but
also investing in the lives of those around you. |
|
When I'm not on campus... |
|
I may be
on an adventure with my camera in hand. I love taking
photographs of both people and places, eating with friends
at local restaurants, reading in coffee shops, and kayaking
at the beach. |
