How do I post a job or internship?

  • To post job or internship opportunities, please log onto https://ucsd-csm.symplicity.com/employers with the same username and password you used to create an account.
    • Click “Jobs & Internships” on the top menu bar.
    • Click on the “Add New” button on the next screen page.
    • Enter your job or internship information and click “Submit”.

How do I hide my personal contact information from the student’s view?

Your personal contact information is not seen by students unless you check the box that says “Display contact information to students” in the job posting form.  Students will not even see your e-mail address.  A student applying for the position will click on a “Submit” button, and the student resume will be e-mailed to you by the system.

How do I preview the job or internship position I just posted?

  • Log onto Port Triton at https://ucsd-csm.symplicity.com/employers/ with the same username and password you used to post the position. 
  • Click on “View UCSD Job & Internship Postings” under Shortcuts.
  • Click on the job title you would like to view.
  • Click on the “Preview” tab.

I just posted my job/internship. How long will it take before it’s live?

It usually takes 1 business day. The Career Services Center's normal business hours are: Monday - Friday 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. We are closed on the following days: Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President's Day, Cesar Chavez Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.

How do I know if my posting is live and active?

  • Log onto Port Triton at https://ucsd-csm.symplicity.com/employers/ with the same username and password you used to post the position. 
  • Click on the “Jobs & Internships” tab.
  • Click on the title of the position. 
  • Check the Posting Date and Expiration Date. If today’s date is within that range, the posting is live.

How do I edit the job or internship position I posted?

  • Log onto Port Triton at https://ucsd-csm.symplicity.com/employers/ with the same username and password you used to post the position. 
  • Click on the “Jobs & Internships” tab.
  • Click on the title of the position. 
  • Make the desired changes and click on “Submit”.
  • To view the position as it currently stands, click on the “Preview” tab.

Job postings are stored in the system so you also have the ability to repost a position in the future, if needed.

How do I repost a job or internship position I posted in the past?

Job postings are stored in the system so you also have the ability to repost a position in the future, if needed. To repost the position, please follow the instructions below:

  • Log onto Port Triton at https://ucsd-csm.symplicity.com/employers/ with the same username and password you used to post the position.  
  • Click on the “Jobs & Internships” tab.
  • Click on the “Add New” button at the bottom of the page.
  • In the “Copy:” section, under the instructions, “Pick a current position from which you'd like to copy data or click the show archived button to view archived jobs.
    Please review and edit your job title when copying a job”, click on the “Show Archived” button, then select the archived job or internship posting from the drop down menu by clicking on the down arrow.
  • The fields will automatically populate. 
  • Update the posting – including the Posting Date and the Expiration Date.
  • Click on the “Submit” button at the end of the page when finished.

We receive and approve job or internship postings throughout the day.

How do I change the expiration date of the job or internship position?

  • Log onto Port Triton at https://ucsd-csm.symplicity.com/employers/ with the same username and password you used to post the position. 
  • Click on the “Jobs & Internships” tab.
  • Click on the title of the position. 
  • Change the expiration date and click on “Submit”.

Job postings are stored in the system so you also have the ability to repost a position in the future, if needed.

What if the job or internship is filled before the expiration date? How do I close a job or internship posting?

If the job or internship position is filled before the expiration date, you can change the expiration date to today’s date so that your posting is no longer viewable to students. 

  • Log onto Port Triton at https://ucsd-csm.symplicity.com/employers/ with the same username and password you used to post the position. 
  • Click on the “Jobs & Internships” tab.
  • Click on the title of the position. 
  • Change the expiration date to today and click on “Submit”.

Job postings are stored in the system so you also have the ability to repost a position in the future, if needed.

How do I view cover letters and resumes submitted for a position I posted?

To view cover letters and resumes submitted for a position you posted:

  • Log onto Port Triton at https://ucsd-csm.symplicity.com/employers/ with the same username and password you used to post the position. 
  • Under the Shortcuts menu, click on “View Non-OCR Applicants”.
  • Click on the last name of the applicant to go to the page where you can access the applicant’s resume and cover letter.
