Community Service Jobs

Community service positions are defined as providing services designed to improve the quality of life for community residents (not only UC San Diego students, faculty and staff), particularly low-income individuals, or those that solve particular issues in:

  • health care, child care, literacy training, education (including tutorial services), transportation, public safety, crime prevention and control, recreation, and community improvement;
  • support services to students with disabilities;
  • mentoring activities such as tutoring, supporting educational and recreational activities or counseling, including career counseling.
