Reference File Service for Academic Careers
UC San Diego Career Services Center partners with Interfolio for recommendation file collection and management needs. Reference letters are typically required for application to academic instructional positions (K-12 teaching and tenured & non-tenured faculty positions) and post-doctoral fellowship. Interfolio is an industry leader in credential, dossier, and online portfolio service. UC San Diego students, faculty and staff who need a letter forwarding service are encouraged to open an Interfolio account at Interfolio.com.
Interfolio replaces the Career Services Center's Recommendation File Service (RFS), which has been discontinued. During the transition to Interfolio, the Career Services Center will continue to collect and send recommendation letters via RFS for students who set up RFS files prior September 20, 2009.
