Recommendation Letters

Request recommendation letters from a faculty member on or off-campus, present or former employer, or volunteer supervisor. Since this is an academic program it is required that you obtain at least one letter from a faculty member.  Faculty means any Professor or Provost on or off campus.  TA's, Deans, and post-docs are not faculty.  The letter will go to many different organizations, so they shouldn't address it to any one organization or individual.

Provide your recommendation letter writers the Recommendation Letter Guidelines (pdf) sheet, your Resume and Letter of Intent. For professors, write down which quarter(s) you took their class, the grade you received and your paper topic (if applicable). Be sure to agree on a date when your reference will give the letter to you.  Provide them at least two weeks.
