The
Career Services Center is funded by student registration fees. This funding
source places restrictions on who may use our services.
New
Admit or Re-Admit UC San Diego Students
Students who are new admits or re-admitted to the University and who have
paid their UC San Diego Statement of Intent to Register Fee (or are EOP:
S.I.R. waived) may use the services at the Career Services Center one
quarter prior to attendance by paying a
pre-quarter access fee of $20.

Continuing UC San Diego Students
(not registered for UC San
Diego Summer Session)
Students registered for spring quarter and enrolled or registered for the
up-coming fall quarter have free access to all services at the Career
Services Center, including job & internship listings on Port Triton.
UC
San Diego Summer Session Students
During the
summer students
registered for Summer Session at UC San Diego have free access to all
services at the Career Services Center, including job and internship
listings on Port Triton.
UC
San Diego OAP Students
Students in the Opportunities Abroad Program do not pay registration fees to
UC San Diego. With certification from the OAP office (International
Center), they may use the services at the Career Services Center.
Application to on-campus positions may not be made until registration fees
to UC San Diego have been paid.
Graduate Students Working on Thesis
Graduate students who have not paid UC San Diego registration fees, are only
working on a thesis and are not officially on leave, may access the services
at the Career Services Center. These students must provide a signed memo
from their advisor verifying their status. Students on leave of absence or
withdrawn receiving a 100% refund are not eligible to access services at the
Career Services Center.

Faculty and Staff
Faculty and staff are eligible to use self-assessment software for a fee of
$20. This fee includes use of the software program and a follow-up
appointment with a career advisor. If a UC San Diego employee has been
laid-off, they are eligible to use the Reference Libraries in the Career
Services Center at no cost.
Not Eligible for
Services
The following are not eligible to services at the Career Services
Center: Students and alumni from other higher education institutions (not
registered for UC San Diego Summer Session), irrespective of letters of
reciprocity; University Extension or Concurrent students; Post-Docs and
others who do not pay UC San Diego registration fees. |
