Join us for UC San Diego's 8th Annual Meet The Firms Accounting Fair. Hosted by UC San Diego's Career Center, Alumni, Rady School of Management, Department of Economics, and Undergraduate Accounting Society, this event is the premier networking event of the accounting recruiting season.

Recruit for Summer 2018 internships and Fall 2018 full-time positions! Meet with our talented accounting students and network with top notch accounting faculty and staff from the Career Center and Rady School of Management.

Registration

Registration is $400 and includes a 6' table, two representatives, two parking passes, and light refreshments. Each additional representative is $50 per person.

Preparation

SHIPPING YOUR RECRUITING MATERIALS
Organizations can ship their recruiting materials up to five (5) weeks in advance. Materials must arrive at least 5 days prior to the event. In a time crunch? Please use overnight delivery to ensure timely arrival. All company materials shipped in advance will be at your table when you arrive.

Getting Here

UC San Diego is located in La Jolla, immediately east of the I-5 freeway, between Gilman Drive to the south and Genesee Avenue to the north. Parking is available at the Gilman Parking Structure on Gilman Drive:

  • From I-5, go west on La Jolla Village Drive.
  • Turn right onto Villa La Jolla Drive.
  • Proceed up the hill and turn left on Gilman Drive. Then make an immediate right on Russell Drive.  
  • Turn right into Gilman Parking Structure where you will be greeted by an attendant with a permit.

A parking attendant will be at the Russell Drive entrance from 4:00-6:00 pm, who will provide you with a complimentary parking permit. In addition, members of the UC San Diego Undergraduate Accounting Society will be available to escort you to the Price Center.

The Price Center East Ballroom is located a short walk northwest of the Gilman Parking Structure off of Lyman Lane.

From the parking structure go north on Russell Lane. Make a left at Lyman Lane and you will see the Price Center on your right. When you arrive at the King Triton statue, go up the stairs (elevators are also available). The East Ballroom is on the second level. If you see Perks and the Bookstore on your right, you have gone too far.

Schedule Office Hours, On-Campus Interviews, & Information Sessions

Accounting firms can host on-campus office hours from Monday, October 9-Friday, October 27, 2017. On-campus interviews can be held from Wednesday, October 18-Friday, October 27, 2017 (or later).

OFFICE HOURS

Office Hours are located in the Career Center and give students the opportunity to meet with a professional in a less formal, informational interview setting. The Career Center handles scheduling students for appointments (30 minutes or less) or, if requested by the employer, can advertise the visit for students to participate in a walk-in basis.

To set up office hours, you will need to submit a formal request through Port Triton using our on-campus interview module:

  • Login to Port Triton
  • Under the shortcuts menu, click on “Request an OCI Schedule”
  • For Recruiting Session select “Fall 2017”
  • For OCR Model click on “Open”
  • Enter your interview date choices (up to 3).
  • Select the time slot you prefer
  • Enter the number of rooms you need.
  • Select your interview length – for office hours employers usually select 10 or 15 minutes.
  • Lastly, select “No” in response to the question about whether or not you would like to allow a student to schedule multiple interviews. This will allow more students to take advantage of office hours.

ON-CAMPUS INTERVIEWS
On-Campus Interviews are available to employers free of charge Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am-4:30 pm. Along with hosting the venue, we also provide assistance with scheduling students with the use of Port Triton. On-Campus Interviewing is an option year round.

INFORMATION SESSIONS
We have three rooms available for Information Sessions:

1)      Round Room which seats up to 25 and costs $275
2)      Career Library which seats up to 45 and costs $275
3)      Horizon Room which seats up to 70 and cost $400

We have an Employer Concierge to assist with student check-in and provide any logistical assistance you may need during the event. The Career Center also helps market your information session to students by sending out two emails out prior to your information session date.
