My Role at UC San Diego:

I coach and advise STEM students to make a successful transition from college to career. Additionally, I partner with various departments across campus in order to launch engaging programming activities.

My Career Path:

After graduating from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, I decided to head back to the West Coast for my master’s degree in education from the University of Southern California. My graduate assistantship was in the Career Center. I loved talking to students about their interests, values, skills, and passions. Afterwards, I was hired by the UC Berkeley and also worked for Middlebury doing both academic and career advising. I find my work both fun and challenging and learn from students, faculty, and staff every day.

The Rewards in Doing What I Do:

Life can be difficult and confusing. I find it tremendously rewarding to see students’ progress over time.

My Words of Wisdom to Students:

Life is suffering. Every person you meet has encountered obstacles and pain. Be kind. Be patient, especially with yourself.

In My Free Time...

I enjoy walking my German Shepherd, playing tennis, painting, and checking out tasty eats.
